About
Hello, I’m Robert.
I am graphic/web designer and web developer, as well as a painter, woodworker, and relocated Louisiana native with a degree in Painting and Drawing from LSU. Because of my background, I am a firm believer in boiling crabs, not steaming them, but I also believe people are free to make their own choices in life.
My Experience
I started my design career at a local newspaper in my hometown, just north of New Orleans, where they still actually cut and pasted ads. From there I moved to Houston to work at a Romance Writing trade association and then moved to the DC Metro area to start my freelance career.
With only a MapQuest print out and a Metro pass, I have worked as a designer/developer on small design teams, as a freelancer, and as a sole web developer for companies in all types of industries. My skill set ranges from print design (concept design to print production) to web design/development (can you say custom WordPress themes?).
I’m always learning new skills, whether it’s for coding or how to build a shed from the ground up. If you would like to discuss my qualifications in greater detail or chat about soccer, drop me a line at designs.bell@gmail.com.
